The Undead Uprising
About
An experiment gone wrong has spawned a new breed of lethal creatures…
Immunologist Lacey Thomas has been waiting for this moment her entire life. Her bunker is ready, and she has the training to protect her friends through the worst. At least that was the plan...
Trisha, the oldest living vampire, sees what’s happening before anyone else does. The media and biotech company responsible can deny it all they want, but the virus that was accidentally released into the New York water supply isn’t harmless.
It’s turning her kind into rabid, zombie-like creatures with a bloodlust strong enough to destroy humanity.
The Monstrums.
Trisha wants to find a cure. Lacey wants to survive. Time is running out, and if they work together, they might have a chance of both.
But survival comes at a cost. And so will the cure …
The Undead Uprising is a unique zombie apocalypse story featuring a character-driven sapphic relationship, secret private labs, and prepper utopias against a backdrop of vampire lore that will appeal to science fiction and paranormal horror fans.
Praise for this book
The Undead Uprising is an exciting and fast paced, yet well developed, read that focuses on the scientists working to save humanity after a virus was released and mutates vampires into a new monster with an appetite for human flesh. Lacey is a scientist who is working to find a cure and Trisha is one of the oldest vampires who wants to help. I love stories that involve vampires, zombies, or post apocalyptic survival, and this story has all three. As Lacey races to find a cure for both humans and vampires all while trying to stay alive, the story takes readers on a journey.

I freely admit to being a sucker for post apocalyptic stories but it's been a while since I've read one so entertaining and easy to digest.
It has all the wonderful elements we love: a deadly virus, brave scientists fighting to find a cure, the blossoming romance, and a sense of hope.
A great read over a stormy weekend.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
